The objective of the Fund is to provide long-term capital appreciation through income and moderate capital growth. The Fund will, directly or indirectly, gain exposure to equities and similar securities, fixed income instruments (including convertible instruments) and/or money market instruments. The Fund may gain exposure to assets worldwide without any restriction in relation to the currency of denomination of the assets to which exposure is obtained.
The Fund’s direct and/or indirect exposure to equities and similar securities of issuers worldwide may vary between 20% and 60%, and its exposure to fixed income instruments (including sovereign or corporate fixed income instruments of issuers worldwide and of any credit rating as well as convertible instruments) and/or money market instruments may vary between 30% and 80% of the Fund’s net assets.

Mr Stanesby heads up the manager research team at Close Brothers Asset Management and is responsible for the research, selection and monitoring of fund managers. He is also a portfolio manager for the institutional pension funds. Mr Stanesby started his career in the actuarial and investment consulting world and worked within the life insurance, pensions and investment teams at Mercer and Aon.
As an investment manager at Close Brothers Asset Management, Mr Grant-Dalton co-manages the Close multi-manager funds and discretionary management service. Sitting on the manager research committee, he has a particular interest in third party fund analysis and also sits on the multi-asset committee, helping to set portfolio positioning across asset classes. Mr Grant-Dalton joined Close Brothers in 2010 as analyst on the hedge fund research team. He holds a BSc with Honours from the University of Bristol and a Masters from Imperial College Business School.
Mr Davies is an investment manager and senior fund research specialist at Close Brothers Asset Management, working within the firm’s multi-manager and manager research teams. Mr Davies began his investment career with Chartwell Group in 2003. From 2006, he headed up the firm’s fund research and in 2009, began managing its discretionary investment portfolios. In 2010, Chartwell was wholly acquired by Close Brothers plc. Mr Davies holds a BSc Econ in International Relations from Aberystwyth University.
